♥ Hearts is the suit that represents Abilities pertaining to Emotional and Romantic Activities. As a Magickal Aspect, it also represents Emotional and Mental Magicks, and it produces emotional Harmonics.

On Emotional Harmonic card draws, it may represent Lust. On Elemental Harmonic card draws, it may represent Fire.

Harmonics[]

When applying Harmonics from Hearts as a suit, the general effect is that of an emotional backlash of some sort. These emotions can be random, determined by a Fortune Card draw: Fear (♦), Anger (♣), Lust (♥), or Despair (♠). Summoned Creatures tend to emit auras of these emotions, as well. As with all Harmonics, the strength of the emotions is determined by the highest value of unaligned Thaumic Energy used in the spell.

Special Note[]

When determining random success and failure by the suit of a card (such as Gambling tests or avoiding a Fumble), the Hearts suit always is a failure, even at the top ability rank.
