The philosophical, brooding darfellan may look menacing, but on the whole, they are willing to extend a hand of peace and friendship - to any but the sahuagin, with whom they are at war.
History[]
Darfellan were once numerous, living nomadic lives as hunter-gatherers. However, once the sahuagin discovered the peaceful darfellan, the vicious fish-men embarked on a bloody crusade to destroy the whale-men. In less than a century the darfellan were almost extinct.
Today, the handful of tribes remaining train their warriors to hunt and kill sahuagin, while simultaneously warning them not to become like their enemies.
Description[]
Darfellan are hulking and muscular, their hairless jet-black skin broken by white markings that indicate their family and clan. Unlike most aquatic races, they move well on land, too, and they know how to use their bulk to their advantage.
Languages[]
Darfellan have their own language, composed of a pattern of squeaks and clicks over a deep basso profundo drone. They also may speak surface Common and Aquan.
