Born to human warriors of The Citadel, Fenrin was raised there within; surrounded by fighters, armories, weapons-training and war tactics.

At the age of 12 Fenrin lost both of his parents, killed in the crossfire of a distant and dusty battle. Their Lieutenant, Grizwald, made sure that Fenrin needed not and that the young and skilled fighter would continue to train under his consistent and stringent supervision.

Though the generals and warriors that surrounded him were his family, Fenrin held a disillusionment for the political warfare and posturing that lead to the loss of his loving parents.

Lt. Grizwald was reticent of this resentment, however, and on the day of Fenrin's official platoon induction he was given a choice: "Stay, train and fight here with your brethren. Or go. But know there is always a home for you here."

Fenrin pondered his choice. Three days later, in the dead of the night, he grabbed his father's halberd and mothers ring and left. Following the worn trail wherever it may go.
