Gorog frrtcht

Grog is a (Minotaur) Dreamknight-Novice - Level 3 - from the Bloody Belt in the Gwynddor Adventures on Myra.


Backstory:[]

The warrior originally known as Gorog, up until becoming a Dreamknight, roamed the lands to challenge any and all that would stand before him in his undying conquest to become the ultimate warrior.

Across the long years that Gorog spent fighting people began to mispronounce his name as the terrible rumors of his deeds spread, he did not correct them. After all, it's not his name that made a warrior but his skill in battle.

But one day as he stood there, covered in the blood of a dozend challengers, he thought to himself: "is that really all? My enemies all fall before me and yet... There is not one that can stand in my way but still I feel as if I am nowhere near my goal, is there no one else to truly challenge me..."

"Gorog"

Grogs head jerked around, hearing his true name for the first time in many years. There stood a man, donning an entirely black garb and smirking at his shocked expression. He carried no weapons or armor, not even a dagger on his belt. This unassuming figure was no threat to Grog, he thought, he could crush is body with only one of his giant hands" and yet...

He feared him.

"I see you're running out of opponents." he said.

"Do you wish to be faced with true dispair? Do you wish to stare down certain death at the hand of some God-like entity? Or do you wish to rot here, alone, surrounded by these amateurs you call your enemies?"

The man held out his hand, offering it to the warrior "what do you say?"


Grog allready knew his answer.

Race Features Minotaur (Guildmaster's Guide to Ravnica):[]

  • Horns. Your horns are natural melee weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal piercing damage equal to ld6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
  • Goring Rush. Immediately after you use the Dash action on your turn and move at least 20 feet, you can make one melee attack with your horns as a bonus action.
  • Hammering Horns. Immediately after you hit a creature with a melee attack as a part of the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action to attempt to shove that target with your horns. The target must be within 5 feet of you and no more than one size larger than you. Unless it succeeds on a Strength saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier, you push it up to 10 feet away from you.
  • Imposing Presence. You have proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Intimidation or Persuasion.

Class Features Dreamknight:[]

  • Fighting Style: Interception. When a creature you can see hits a target, other than you, within 5 feet of you with an attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage the target takes by 1d10 + your proficiency bonus (to a minimum of 0 damage). You must be wielding a shield or a simple or martial weapon to use this reaction.

Patron deities and patron boons:[]

First Patron: Borgon[]

  • Borgon will give you an added 1d4 on your strength (up to a maximum of 18 for humans; gives +1 if you had 18 before) / If this deity is your first choice, you get an extra +1 on the stat (up to a maximum of 20).
  • He will demand you to (1) fight and if possible kill any werewolf on sight (2) attack and destroy to rubble any temple of Pottundy or Marlilith (3) instigate and join any war on lawful evil governments.

Second Patron: Dena[]

  • Dena will give you divine health, that is immunity to all diseases, including black magical ones. Once per day you can either "detect lies" or cast a "zone of truth" within 10 feet, in which noone can lie. 1/week you can "neutralize poison"./ If Dena is your first choice, you can cure wounds on yourself, 1d6 per 5 levels.
  • She will demand you to stop lying. You can sidestep the truth if necessary, but you can not tell any outright lie.

Third Patron: Norytton[]

  • Norytton will give you an added +1 on a stat of your choice [Strength] (up to a maximum of 18 for humans), if you are lacking full dreamknight stats in some way, it will always go there with a maximum of +2 to a lacking stat. Norytton will also give you the ability to swim as an athletics feat. In situations where you would otherwise drown, a successfull roll against Luck will save you. / If Norytton is your first choice, you get an extra extra +5 (as if your weapon was a magic+5 weapon) against deep sea creatures and an extra +1 on a random lacking stat (and an extra +1 on a random stat if no stat is lacking;
