The House of Joshmaul is the first of the "First Three Families" of the Reydovan Empire, and the holder of the Emperor's throne from 2296 to 2375. The first and current patriarch is Admiral Kiran Joshmaul, Chief of Starfleet Operations. He is one of two men to be the patriarch of their house while in Federation service (the other being Jeremiah Neill); but in order to smooth out the "ruffled feathers" in the Federation upon his return to Starfleet, Joshmaul renounced his Imperial citizenship. However, he is still considered the legal patriarch of House Joshmaul.
