Episode Summary[]
On the way to Damascus, the airship starts losing altitude and the propulsion mechanism malfunctions. The adventurers crash land near a mysterious oasis nestled along a cliff edge. The adventurers investigate the oasis and find it to be full of lush vegetation which botanically should not belong together.
They are soon captured by a bunch of wolf-men and French Foreign Legionnaires and brought forth to the mistress of the garden, a bumbling golden-haired faerie named Eden. Eden was able to seduce Travers Masterson, but the others proved too difficult to control, so the adventurers were tossed into a prison made of living tree branches (that move!).
In the prison, they meet Leland, an insane dwarf who apparently made a Device that was able to change the properties of water, facilitating this garden in the middle of the desert. Despite his poor treatment by her, he appeared to be madly in love with Eden. He is convinced that she will fall for him, too, if he only perfected the device, a delusion that he shares with his dead rat pet Cogsworth.
The PCs manage to escape the prison with a distraction by Dr. Orpheus singing the French National Anthem a la Casablanca with the Legionnaire prison guards. They disable The Device and use the bit of Cold Iron to eradicate Eden permanently. They leave the Garden with a despondent Leland and several confused French Foreign Legionnaires.
Sword Canes lost - 1, confiscated by the French Foreign Legionnaires.
