After the scream is heard, The Prince also hears the familiar growling and snarling of a Corrupted beast. The beast jumps out from atop a building and attacks Balbera. The Prince acts fast, shoving Balbera out of the way. The Prince attacks the beast with his sword, killing it by kicking it into the water. Other beasts come out, killing civilians. Not even the local police force, with their firearms, can stop these monstrosities. The Prince and Balbera rush to find Zarik and group up, but the man is nowhere to be found.
The duo rush into the heart of the city, and find that the city hall is enveloped with corruption. Ahriman's gaunt face is visible inside the swirling corruption. The Prince is sure that Ahriman is holding Elika there. However, there is no possible way to get through the corruption without turning into a beast or dying, so they have to find an alternative.
